GasRam™ for the SWAT Operator

Attaching Probes and Ram

The GasRam™ has three (3) options for use.

There are two different probes and a door ram that can be attached to the front of the body allowing for flexibility in the use of the GasRam™. They are all attached to the body in the same manner. The probes are hollow allowing for the release of smoke through the probe. The probe is strong enough to penetrate a stucco wall or the side of a vehicle with little effort. The round door ram can be used to force entry through locked doors.

After selecting the attachment you need, screw the attachment into the front of the GasRam™ body you need to make sure the threads are clean and unobstructed. If you chose a probe, check to make sure there are no obstructions inside the probe. If there is an obstruction DO NOT use the GasRam™ until the obstruction is removed. The smoke and pressure created by the burning grenade must have a place to expel. Place Teflon tape on the threads of the GasRam™ probe or ram. This will make it easier to remove after use. Screw the probe into the body hand-tight.

After use, let the GasRam™ cool down before handling. Always use heavy gloves and eye protection when handing the GasRam™. A nomex glove will not deflect enough heat to prevent burning the skin through the glove. Unscrew the probe and clean before storage.

Door Ram – a convenient attachment that allows your GasRam™ to double as a door entry tool. Because of the weight of the GasRam™ with the door ram attached (35 pounds) it will open most doors. NEVER have a Non-lethal Chemical Agent device in the GasRam™ when you are using it as a door ram.
